Looking For Trail Work Volunteers

The City of Arcata’s Environmental Services Department and the Humboldt Trails
Council’s Volunteer Trail Stewards welcome volunteers to assist in “armoring” (i.e.,
rocking) trails in the Arcata Community Forest near Jolly Giant Creek on Saturday, July
28, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. at the Jolly Giant Commons parking lot off of Granite
Avenue near Humboldt State University. Parking permits will not be required since
HSU is not in session. Be sure to wear a long sleeve shirt, work pants and boots and
bring water. Gloves, tools, lunch and beverages will be provided.
