November 16th is the sentencing date set for Tavin Dee Evans after he pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter. The 20 year old Evans was one of two men accused in the methamphetamine overdose death of a 16 year old girl, Alyssa Claybon. He’s expected to receive a three year sentence. He can withdraw his plea if a judge decides to sentence him to more than a maximum term, which is four years behind bars. Charges against his co-defendant, Anthony Burgess would be dismissed once Evans is sentenced, but Burgess is already behind bars in connection with a separate case.
