Authorities throughout California are hunting for the shooter who killed a policeman during a traffic stop Wednesday in Newman. Police say 33-year-old Cpl. Ronil Singh was fatally shot after stopping a pickup truck that had a paper license plate. Authorities recovered the suspect’s vehicle but so far he remains at large. Late Thursday the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office confirmed photos on social media were those of the suspect but they would not confirm the man’s name and birth date.
