Police have made an arrest in the case of a stolen Mercedes. Late Monday night, officers pulled over a white Mercedes near the Blue Lake Casino, matching the description of a vehicle reported stolen out of Eureka less than one hour earlier. Deputies approached the vehicle and contacted one male occupant in the driver’s seat. The subject provided deputies with a false name, but was later identified as 27-year-old Stetson Cole Miller.
Upon further investigation, deputies determined the vehicle was stolen. During a search of the vehicle, deputies located several other stolen items.
Miller was arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of: possession of a stolen vehicle, providing false identification to a peace officer, possession of stolen property and violation of probation, in addition to an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
