Indictment Handed Up In Girl’s Shooting Death

An indictument handed up against an 18-year-old Pleasantville man in connection with the fatal shooting of a 15 year old girl in Atlantic City. The body of Naimah Bell was found in the early morning hours of July 25th inside a home at 102 S. Massachusetts Ave. The next day, Nahquil Lovest was arrested and charged in her death. He faces charges of aggravated manslaughter, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and aggravated assault pointing a weapon. Bell died of a gunshot wound to the head.
An initial autopsy determined the pending cause of death to be a gunshot wound to the head and the pending manner of death to be a homicide. Lovest’s attorney says his client was playing with a gun when it went off.
