PG & E PSPS Wednesday PM Update

PG&E is out with an update on the PSPS situation. The utility says 513,000 customers were part of the first phase and those customers are out of service in Humboldt, Mendocino and parts of several other counties.
About 21,000 in Calaveras and 800 customers in Mendocino were not part of the first phase and are being turned off during the second phase happening late Wednesday. Shutoffs for the second phase of counties, initially scheduled to start around noon on Wednesday, have been delayed by a few hours, given changes to the weather forecast. Those 800 customers in Mendocino will be affected by that outage but no part of Humboldt County will be. It’s still unclear when Humboldt County will get power back. Also, the community resource center, located at Eureka Redwood Acres Fairgrounds – 3750 Harris Street, Eureka 95503, will be open at 8am Thursday.
