Filing Claim For Power Outage?

According to the Redwood Times, customers affected by Pacific Gas & Electric Corp.’s planned power shut-offs will not eligible for reimbursement through the company’s Safety Net program — which typically compensates customers for weather-related outages. Customers without power for 48 hours or more due to a weather event qualify for the program, but the company said earlier this week that outages through the PSPS did not qualify. PG&E customers who experienced hardship due to the loss of power can still try to submit a claim to the utility company by going online and using the form at www.pge.com/claiminfo.
